About Richard

A friendly and professional toastmaster for events in the UK,
especially Essex, London, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire

With a friendly, professional and confident style gained from a working life in marketing and the Royal Engineers, Richard can help your event to run with clockwork precision and a sense of ceremony.

Richard has spent 25 years of his life in a marketing position: organising, facilitating and running all sorts of events and functions for many blue chip companies in both the UK and in Europe. Diverse in activity and ethos, these companies have given Richard the broad field of experience he has today.

Trained by the Professional Toastmasters Academy, Richard has received the highest standard of training in organising and orchestrating events. His professional character and worldly experience make him the ideal choice for your special occasion, bringing that extra dimension to your function.

Former Chairman of the Guild of Professional Toastmasters

Richard’s sense of presence and ceremony can make all the difference to your occasion, but he will always adapt his style to reflect your needs and allow you to completely relax and enjoy your event just as much as any one of your guests.

Richard prides himself on his meticulous nature and sheer professionalism. This exceptional degree of reliability and responsibility means that you can remain confident that your event is in the best possible hands from the initial set-up, to turning out the last light.

With detailed training from the Professional Toastmasters Academy and continuous professional development from the Guild of Professional Toastmasters, Richard is able to keep your event moving, structured and flowing, ensuring that everything has time to happen and that everything happens on time.

Richard can add an extra dimension and a feeling of ceremony to your event, no matter what is taking place.

We honestly had the best day ever it just all went far to quickly! I don’t believe there is anything more you could have done for us on the day we’re both so pleased we decided to go with you as our toast master. You really helped to ensure our day went as planned which meant we could really focus on enjoying our day hanging out with our friends and family

"I’ll keep it brief. This “gem” is called Richard Cawte and he comes from the South, but travels all over the UK, to perform his toastmaster duties. He holds the accolade of being a Fellow of the Guild of Professional Toastmasters and tells us that he can be yours for the day “for the price of a chocolate fountain”. Although those of you who know me will know I have a bit (!!) of an addition to chocolate - I know which I’d rather have (the less fattening and messy alternative!). So, in short, if you are considering employing a toastmaster for the day, please make our life easier and choose Richard!"

We would all like to say a BIG thank you for being such a wonderful asset to the day! Without your expertise the day would not have run so smoothly. You asked if there was anything you could have organised better and I can honestly say, no there was nothing (and believe me I am the most fussy control freak EVER) you could have added to. Many, many thanks for all of your help and I hope to have the pleasure of working with you again.

"We frequent some of the top wedding venues in the country. I have to say by far the best toastmaster we have worked with in a long time. We were so impressed by his professionalism and what a difference he did make to the day, I’ve decided to write a blog post about him – and that, believe me, is a first!"
